So I did an interview with the LaTimes in regards to Google's use of their logo to celebrate or commemorate different world holidays the other day and was fortunate enough to get just under 50 words quoted in the article:
“It’s a kick to your belly,” Giovanni Gallucci, 39, a conservative blogger and social media consultant from Dallas, told the Los angeles Times.
“I understand these guys are scientists and engineers and they have their quirks and want to make sure people are recognised who might not normally be recognised… but why not celebrate the struggles that we’ve come through as a people?”

Google Logo, originally uploaded by Greg J..
Well…first thing to point out here: I aM conservative and I aM a blogger…but not necessarily a "conservative blogger." but, that's not really the point. Soon after the article was posted to the LaTimes.com website the love started pouring in from all over the net. Here's a small sample of the sweet nothings I have enjoyed just from the Chicago Tribune website over the last 12 hours:
someone who needs their nappies changed
Reich Wing whiner
intolerant, flag-waving my-way-or-the-highway nutjob
Fuggin' Moron
stupid
selfish and all important
scouring Earth for some notoriety and potential gain
republickan
religious zealots in the vain of Muslim extremists
idiot
should be ashamed
ridiculous
bozo
I hereby award Giovanni Galluci the Sinead O'Connor "Why are You Writing about Google Logos When There's So Much Suffering In The World" trophy.
conservatard
so-called "patriotic conservatives"
protectors of our patriotism
pathetic
stupid right-winger
bENT!!!
conservative idealogue
moron
your life is so boring
Conservative crybaby
political neanderthal
mundane, unimportant b.s.
utterly ridiculous!
idiot conservatives
worthless human being
narrow minded
short sighted
imbecile
overpaid twit
afraid of Google
For some reason, I really like the ring of "conservatard."
The "wisdom of crowds" for sure. Tomorrow I have something more important to do than this…like flossing or something else that isn't this.
One last thing. Full disclosure: I used to be a liberal also, until my mother made me move out of the basement and get a job. Love you guys! Don't change! Ever! OXOXOXOXOXOX

I was quite alarmed this morning when I tried to log into my Google adWords MCC and received an error. after a few more attempts I tried to log directly into one client’s account and received this message:
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it. Please note that using your browser's back button in adWords can increase the likelihood of errors. If you think this was the cause of your error, please try again without using the back button.
So I called Google, I had to call the main number since my account rep is on vacation. (Yes, my Google and MSN reps are on vacation the same week.) The person I got on the phone told me that it was a known issue and their technicians were working on fixing it and could not provide an estimated time frame of resolution. I asked if active campaigns were still running and I got this response “if you can remember one of your keywords I will be more than happy to do a Google search to find out for you”. Yeah…process that for a moment.
Ready to continue? Ok, shortly after I ended that lovely chat with Google the issue was corrected and I was able to login successfully. This was truly not an enjoyable experience. I got that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach like when you lose your child in a department store for a few seconds. I plan to triple check the reporting comparing Google and each account’s separate analytics tracking to make sure everything evens up as much as possible for today and I suggest the same for anyone else with Google adWords accounts.

I’m sure you noticed this nice message when you logged into your Google adwords account today.
Search ads can now reach Google Mobile Search users.
We have begun showing eligible ads on Google Mobile Search pages – making it easier for you to reach additional qualified customers. Clicks on these ads will be free through November 18. You may opt out of this feature at any time.
So what should you do now?
- Read the Google adwords FaQs.
- Check to see what your landing pages will look like on mobile devices, with this handy-dandy tool from Google. Type in your URL into the blank field, click 'Go' to see the mobile view of your landing pages.
- If any of your landing pages are unadaptable and do not display, you can choose to create what Google calls a “business Page” to display instead.
- Decide if you want to opt out or stay in.
- Remember that billing will not begin until Nov 18th.

Microsoft's Future Former CEO Throws Tables During Interview
Microsoft's sweatiest billionaire executive, Steve ballmer, has inadvertently revealed that he uses Firefox and Google.

In an interview with Effective Corporate Evildoings magazine, a sweat-soaked ballmer was chatting about how open source is a cancer that attaches itself in an intellectual property sense to everything it touches when he went to pull up a website to prove part of his point. The interviewer, Gern blanston, moved around to ballmer's side of the table to view the website ballmer wanted to show him when he was taken aback by ballmer's choice of web browser and home page.
"I was shocked to the point that I passed a wee bit of a toot. It made me feel not-so-fresh for the remainder of the interview," blanston recalled.
When asked about his choice of internet platforms, ballmer mentioned that the browser came pre-loaded on his Dell Laptop and he couldn't figure out how to uninstall it, change the homepage, or find where IE was.
Realizing the conundrum he was in after blanston snickered, ballmer quickly became "overly emotional, like a chick I used to date" according to the interviewer. "He told me to shut the hell up or he'd 'beat my hippie ass'."
ballmer has described blanston's account of the incident as a "gross exaggeration of what actually took place." He also mentioned that he would soon be replacing his Dell Laptop with a new Mac, and that he has already set up an appointment a the local Genius bar to get the latest version of IE installed on the machine and Microsoft Windows Live Office MSN Search set up as the browser's homepage.
Upon hearing about this report, Edelman, Microsoft's PR agency contacted The agency blog and informed us that the proper name for the software giant's online search offering is now to be known as "MSVSLS "or MS Vista Sharepoint Live Search. "The new brand represents Microsoft’s strategy to align its online products with nothing in particular in a very vague and confusing way," a cog from Edelman stated. "Oh, and it's 'Green'…be sure you get that in there…" Duly noted.
