Mobile Casting the Different “Casts”

Podcasting is inherently a niche market.  It’s amazing to see the different corporations like Disney and IbM use podcasts to enhance their brand.  but more importantly for you, podcasting represents a way to connect with your audience.  Now we’re going to take that one step further.  You can take your podcast mobile.

If you’re like most business owners, you might be interested in the idea of podcasting via a mobile network, but you might also be wondering just what will you talk about.  Here are some ideas on how you can use your podcasts to reach your audience.

  1. Feature testimonials of past customers.  Testimonials often add credibility to a business as people hear about what your company can do.  It will be essential to capture the “voice” (their thoughts, feelings and observations) of your customer to ensure that they are relatable to other consumers.
  2. Sponsor a contest on your podcast.  See your audience participation increase with this strategy.  People love to win stuff and a contest offer a great incentive to get in touch with you.
  3. Use your podcast as a recorded conference call.  Keep everyone up to date and informed about the latest business news or the latest meeting.  Provide informational material.
  4. Use your podcasts as an interview medium.  Host guest speakers on your podcast.  Set up phone interviews and get other people involved in your podcast.
  5. Use your podcasts to transmit a message from top management.  Employees want to hear from top managers highlighting the latest corporate news or general message to promote team work.  a formal or informal tone can work for this type of podcast.
  6. Use your podcasts as a form of a suggestion box.  Calling a phone line equipped to record calls (and letting them know that they are being recorded), your audience can offer suggestions and feedback.  This opens the door to making a one-way communication more interactive.  One of the great things about using this type of podcast is that your audience has the opportunity to feel as if they are being heard.

These are just a few of the general ways you can use podcasts.  You might consider brainstorming to finalize the more specific details of your podcast.  This is the time to get creative in reaching your audience.  The more appeal (i.e. – fun, informative, etc.) and value-adding your podcast is, the more your audience will connect with you.

This is just gross

So Shannon & I are decking the halls and hanging up cheer tonight and I come across this little number in the fridge we have out in the garage. a sweet bottle of WILD STRaWbERRY Wine Cooler nectar bottled by the fine folks at Seagrams. It HaS to be 10 years old if it's a day. Make a note. If you come over and either of us serve you a Seagram's wine cooler, we are trying to kill you. Make no bones about it. I don't know what the shelf-life is on these things but if this is not pure poison by now, then that's even more gross than it just being in our fridge for so long.
