Does this mean blogging is in the mainstream?

Blog from the aCC Tournament: This is what it's supposed to be …

asheville Citizen-Times – NC,USa

Boston College vs. North Carolina had its moments on Saturday, but Sunday's championship game is what postseason tournaments are supposed to be about.

More and more often…blogs are being referenced in mainstream media as news sources in their own right. Bodes well for the citizen journalist.

Time to move this blog off Typepad?

Today we saw the fourth outage of Typepad since I've been hosting my blog here. During the last one in October, they promised that they were moving the infrastructure to more robust systems in order to prevent just such an event. Today we saw the longest and most severe outage to date on this service. as I post this, my blog has yet to be fully restored. They assure us that our data is safe…but I'm about done with this service.

I will be looking for a different solution over the next several weeks. I've paid for this service through the summer so I have plenty of time make decision (assuming they don't have a complete meltdown). It's a shame. The system has served my needs pretty well so far, but I simply can't afford to be on such an unreliable platform. It would be nice to know where they are spending all that investment money they recently received.
